George Clooney will not be royal baby's godfather

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, pose with their newborn son during a photocall in St George's Hall at Windsor Castle on May 8, 2019 in Windsor, England.

The couple announced later on Wednesday they had named their newborn, the seventh-in-line to the British throne, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

But despite the latest member of the family causing a social media frenzy, some Royal fans are still slightly confused over his mum's real name.

According to 2018 book 'Meghan: A Hollywood Princess' written by royal biographer Andrew Morton, Meghan has been given some sweet pet names by her family.

The 37-year-old Meghan gave birth to her and Prince Harry's first-born child Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on Monday morning. Meghan's mum Doria Ragland, who came to the United Kingdom from LA for her first grandchild's arrival, was also in the picture. In what could be today's most humours tweet, Archie Comics tweeted, "i'm baby".

As for how long baby Archie will remain quiet, the duke will have time to find over the coming weeks. The name Archie has Scottish and German roots, and it means "genuine and bold".

Archie's middle name Harrison actually means Henry's son, so it's totally fitting.

George Clooney shares a birthday with baby Archie but he is not looking to have any other links or to stand as the baby's godparent, despite being good friends with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

The parents' happiness was apparent, as Harry -with a huge smile on his face- held the sleeping baby while Meghan lovingly looked on.

The couple left the photo call to introduce the baby to his great-grandparents, the queen and Prince Philip. He added, "He also told me he's really happy that his son is so far very quiet".

Celebrating the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, they had sent gifts for the newly-weds.

THE name of the newest addition to the royal family has been revealed, surprising many around the world.

About a week later, it was reported that Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, had visited Meghan at her home at Frogmore Cottage (via People). As we know from Harry's meeting with the press (via Sky News), their kiddo was "a little bit overdue", so Meghan may have been taking every caution regarding her baby's impending arrival.
