Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer 2 Review: 5 Ups & 4 Downs

If you haven't watched Avengers: Endgame, do not watch the trailer or read the copy as it contains spoilers.

Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! "Look, I'm just a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man".

It's always been assumed by fans that the Elementals - the rock, lava and water creatures attacking Europe - are fakes created by Mysterio to make himself look like a hero (think Syndrome's plan in The Incredibles). Also back is Jacob Batalon as Ned, who got decimated along with Peter Parker, and has missed the past 5 years. That means a lot is set to change for the Avengers universe. ARMOR (Altered-Reality Monitoring and Operational Response) is created to defend against enemy incursions from alternate dimensions, such as the undead superhumans of the Marvel Zombies universe.

A Live-Action Spider-Verse On one hand, Spider-Man: Far From Home may seem like a unusual place to introduce the multiverse concept.

Sony has released a new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer, but if you haven't seen Avengers: Endgame yet, don't watch it. So many possibilities opened up at the end of Endgame, and Peter Parker is one of the few people on the ground dealing with them.

Oh, and MJ seems to have figured out that Peter is Spider-Man, and she's not wrong that it's not exactly the best-kept secret. And maybe another Spider-Man will show up in FAR FROM HOME. With his powers being based on deception, it would make sense that he is pretending to be the new hero the world needs, while plotting his own nefarious schemes. Does that mean we are getting Miles Morales, or Spider-Gwen?

With Far From Home swinging into United Kingdom cinemas on 3 July, there's only two months to wait until we see how the MCU will start to deal with the aftermath of the OG Avengers' final stand. If not, the introduction of other characters from the multiverse could be the start of something huge for Marvel.
