Tiger Woods: Gambler wins more than $1 million thanks to Masters victory

Brooks Koepka, Ian Poulter, Franceso Molinari and Tony Finau all made double bogey, while overnight leader Molinari threw in a double bogey seven at the 15th for good measure.

William Hill US will make their single biggest payout on a golf bet after the punter put $125,66 on Woods to win at Augusta, 11 years after his last major victory.

Impossibly, ridiculously, Tiger Woods is back on top in golf again, with his fused back, his pile of lost years and his talent somehow back from the dead.

"I'm a little hoarse from yelling", Tiger said of his win, per NPR.

After a day of deafening roars, Woods was overcome with emotion given his daughter, Sam, and son, Charlie, were standing beside the 18th green. "My dad was here in 1997 and now I'm the dad with two kids there".

"It's overwhelming because what has transpired".

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who won a record sixth Super Bowl this past February, joked that he was plotting how to match the number of major golf championships Woods has now accumulated.

"I am literally in tears watching TigerWoods this is Greatness like no other". 79-year-old Nicklaus posted on Twitter. That ball on 12, if it's one yard further left it probably goes in the bunker and the third shot on 15, it could easily not have clipped the tree and sometimes it is your day, sometimes it isn't, but I'm really happy of the way I felt out there.

Woods then drove the green in two at the par-5 15 and tapped in for birdie to seize the lead alone at 13-under par then sank a four-foot birdie putt at the par-3 16 to stretch his advantage to two shots with two holes remaining.

Meanwhile, Adam Scott, the 2013 Masters champion, (73, six under), Marc Leishman (75, one over) and Cameron Smith (77, two over) rounded out the Australian contingent.
