Show of goodwill: Pakistan releases 100 Indian fishermen

"We have reliable intelligence that another act of aggression is highly likely between April 16 and 20 by India against Pakistan", he said. "This public gimmick appears to be a call to Pakistan-based terrorists to undertake a terror attack in India", Kumar said.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Office (FO) summoned the Indian deputy high commissioner to protest New Delhi's alleged plan to carry out further military action against Pakistan.

"After consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan, we have made a decision to share this information with the people of Pakistan as well as the worldwide community immediately".

Days after the Kashmir bombing, New Delhi - which has long accused Islamabad of harbouring militants who launch attacks on its soil - demanded Pakistan take "credible and visible action".

"If it happens, you can imagine the impact of the occurrence on the peace and stability of the region".

The minister said Pakistan had already briefed the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council on the issue and stated Islamabad's apprehensions. "We want the global community to take notice of this irresponsible behaviour and reprimand them [India] for taking this route", he said, adding that India's action could have an impact on the region's peace and stability.

In the run-up to India's elections this week, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi made a startling revelation on Sunday that Delhi was planning more military action against Pakistan in the third week of April and called on the worldwide community to reprimand India for its irresponsible conduct.

India struck the biggest terrorist training camp of terror group Jaish-e-Muhammed deep inside Pakistan on 26 February almost two weeks after the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed.

India said it, too, had shot down a Pakistani aircraft and the air force displayed pieces of a missile that it said had been fired by a Pakistani F-16 before it went down. "It is our policy to keep the nation informed", he added. Two weeks later, Indian warplanes conducted an air raid on Pakistani territory, targeting what India said was a training camp of the militant group which claimed credit for the attack.

The foreign office said India reserved the right to respond firmly and decisively to any cross border militant attack, accusing Pakistan of being complicit in such attacks on India.

Pakistan warned Sunday that rival India is planning to launch a fresh military assault against the country, calling for the worldwide community's urgent diplomatic intervention to deter New Delhi from endangering regional peace and stability.
