Hit TV show Game of Thrones followed by army of spin-offs

Actor Kit Harington hosted "Saturday Night Live" this week and the variety show made plenty of use of the "Game of Thrones" star, scattering several references to the HBO fantasy show throughout its episode. Five weeks later - on May 19 - it will all be over, and theories abound about how it's going to end. But Emilia says it's been so long since they filmed the final season, she doesn't have any idea how the show ends. She suffered her first aneurysm in 2011, just after her first season as outcast-turned-dragon-queen Daenerys Targaryen.

Harrington also took questions from co-stars John Bradley and Rose Leslie (who is also his wife), and from the Night King, played by Pete Davidson. Clarke asks. Of course, Kit shoots her question down.

Using geotagged data from more than 200,000 tweets over the last month, they tracked the mentions of Game of Thrones characters across all 50 states in an attempt to try and ID the most popular citizens of Westeros.

Because we'd watch the heck outta a Jon Snow-centric romantic drama... or a Daria-style animated show about Arya... or The Marvelous Mrs. Melisandre.

One more thing, Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the New York City premiere of the eighth and final season of the Game of Thrones, Turner revealed that Maisie Williams will be the maid of honor.

Given Game of Thrones' huge popularity, it was inevitable that a monologue wouldn't be enough when it came to lampooning the series, and fans got a look at some of the planned spin-offs HBO has in the works for after the show comes to an end.
