Huawei’s Next Flagship Phone Will Feature 10x Hybrid Zoom

Today is the day Huawei is going to unveil its spring flagships, the Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro.

Additionally, the new product also supports faster wireless charging at up to 15W, meaning your phone should power up more rapidly on a compatible bank. This sensor will also come handy in facilitating future mobile AR developments, but exclusively on the P30 Pro as it's missing from the P30. The P30 Pro HDR+ enables the front and rear cameras to combine multiple photos taken in quick succession to optimise overexposed and backlit selfies. Still, if you disregard the fake marketing, it seems from the specs and hands-on videos that the P30 Pro really has a lot to offer.

Before his Paris visit, Xi stopped in Monaco, the tiny sovereign enclave on the Mediterranean, to mark the principality's decision a year ago to agree a deal with Huawei to develop its 5G network, prompting concerns among European officials that other countries could follow suit. The fourth sensor is a Time-of-Flight, which will help the phone get better depth effects. However, you get a standard headphone jack on the P30 but not on the P30 Pro.

The P30 Pro's camera system is created to solve the biggest problems with smartphone cameras, like low-light situations and optical zoom, which has been stuck at 2X since Apple released the iPhone 7 Plus in 2016.

Huawei P30 will feature the same camera setup as the P30 Pro except for the ToF sensor.

Huawei's handset is available in pearl white, breathing crystal, black, amber sunrise and aurora colours. For the whole pre-order period you can get yourself a £40 card with any P30 Pro deal from Carphone - just be sure to click the "View deal" button below to be eligible to claim. Another key difference between the phones is the battery size.

Stay tuned for more details.

The P30 Pro comes packed with AI and HDR+ technology, using which you can capture "Super Portrait Mode" photos with enormous details - down to the strands of hair on the subject's face. The dual-OIS combo of the primary sensor is available up to 4K recording at 60fps, so you can expect super smooth and crisp videos using the same.

The Huawei P30 Pro comes in five colour variants, while the Mate 20 Pro comes in three. Its main sensor is still a 40MP RYYB sensor but now it is paired to an f/1.8 aperture lens instead. This will include a 40MP "SuperSpectrum Sensor" shooter, a 10x zoom sensor, an ultra-wide angle shooter, and a ToF camera.

Unfortunately, we don't have any information on how much the smartphones will retail for when they land in Malaysia, but we do know that Huawei Malaysia will increase the number of P30 sales locations to 11 venues across our country.
