Twenty-four drawings since then have failed to produce a victor, including the drawing on Wednesday.

Powerball fever is sweeping the country as Saturday's jackpot will be the seventh-highest jackpot ever and the fourth-largest Powerball jackpot at an estimated $625 million.

The estimated jackpot is $638.8 million. The record $1.586 billion prize was won in 2016 across three states: California, Florida and Tennessee. "Now fourth-largest, this run is starting to feel similar to the frenzy that we saw last fall".

If you've won less than $600, you can turn in your winning ticket at a lottery retailer in exchange for cash, according to Mega Millions' website.

Prior to Johnson's jackpot win the day after Christmas, no one had hit the Powerball top prize since October 27. If there is no jackpot victor, the amount grows larger for the next drawing.

Powerball also features prizes ranging from $4 to $1 million. The white balls are numbered 1 through 69 and the Powerball is numbered 1 through 26.
