DeSean Jackson Traded to Eagles

DeSean Jackson is coming back to Philly.

Sources told ESPN on Sunday that the Bucs were actively shopping Jackson and that Philadelphia was his desired landing spot.

The NFL's legal tampering period began on Monday and the Eagles aren't waiting until free agency officially begins Wednesday to make moves.

Jackson went on to sign with Washington before moving on to Tampa Bay in 2017.

After being released Friday, it took Malik Jackson just a couple days to find work as it appears he'll be going to another championship caliber defense.

This would be the third year of a three-year, $33.5 million contract.

Jackson was released by the Eagles in 2014 amid reports that he had affiliations with gang members.

Jackson was drafted by the Eagles, and played for the team from 2008-13, before departing for the division rival Redskins.

DeSean Jackson says good-bye to Tampa Bay. He caught 62 passes for 912 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie while leading the National Football League with 50 punt returns.

Derrick Gunn of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports the Eagles are sending the Buccaneers a 2019 sixth-round pick and a 2020 seventh-round pick.

Even at 32 years old, Jackson is still one of the game's most unsafe speed receivers, averaging 18.9 yards per catch in 12 games last season. Despite being 32, Jackson is still among the fastest wide receivers in the game.
