Around 9.30 pm on Tuesday, police found her Volkwagon Golf vehicle on south-east Sydney street and discovered her chopped up body packed in a suitcase inside the auto. Her ex-boyfriend, who was killed in a auto crash on Monday a day after Dr Preethi Reddy disappeared, is a suspect.

She was last seen waiting in line at McDonald's in George Street on Sunday, the police said.

Glenbrook Dental Surgery, where Reddy had worked and which had been appealing for information about her disappearance, said staff were "in mourning" after news of her death. Her ex-boyfriend, who is the prime suspect, is said to have died in a "deliberate" road accident later.

Sydney: On March 3, a 32-year-old Indian-origin woman Preethi Reddy who went missing in Sydney, Australia has been found dead.

Police spoke with Dr Narde about Dr Reddy's disappearance before he died on the New England Highway at Willow Tree on Monday night.

"He was not at the time of this incident in a relationship with Preethi however there had been a previous relationship", he said.

Police had been searching for the western Sydney woman since her family reported her missing on Sunday.

She bought two bottles of water before leaving, walking south towards Market Street.


Reddy was attending a dental conference in St Leonards at the weekend and last spoke to her family at around 11am on Sunday.

The sister of murdered Sydney dentist Preethi Reddy has released a statement saying their family "will never be the same" without her in their lives.

The ABC understands Dr Narde was the key suspect in Dr Reddy's murder.

A Facebook page set up to help find Dr Reddy said it was "highly out of character for Preethi to not contact family and loved ones".

Preethi was captured on CCTV inside McDonald's at the Strand Arcade in central Sydney about 2.15 a.m. on Sunday and appeared to leave alone.

Dengate said Strike Force Carlwood officers investigating the case were unsure where and when Dr Reddy was murdered but were working on the probability she was killed at the hotel. Her ex-boyfriend, Harsh Narde, who died in a vehicle crash on the New England Highway on Monday night, a day after Preethi Reddy was reported missing, is the prime suspect in the case. The suitcase was found in her vehicle that was located in Kingsford area of Sydney.
