Elsa also protects Olaf from some mysterious pink flames. Along with our favorite reindeer Sven, of course. After the logo flashes across the screen, we see Anna grab Kristoff's sword from his scabbard and swipe it at an unseen threat. The cold actually does bother us, anyway. The trailer opens with ice queen Elsa standing beachside as a storm rages on around her.

All of Frozen's most beloved characters are returning for the sequel this year, with the franchise's biggest stars set to reprise their roles.

They are a woman with red hair, and a blond figure who emerges, floating from a pile of leaves. Also added to the cast are actors Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown.

Perhaps these new characters could be the villains of the piece, but some fans are hoping otherwise. Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck direct Frozen 2 from a screenplay by Lee and Allison Schroeder (Hidden Figures).

If Elsa were to be given a girlfriend, it would make her the first LGBTQ princess - a step towards equality from Disney.

It comes in the form of mystical floating diamonds. Why she appears to be training for some kind of ocean ice-skating marathon is unclear, but fans will love seeing her unleash the superpowers she spent so long hiding in the first film.

We also see Elsa using her powers by shooting out ice, while she protects our favorite snowman Olaf as a unsafe hot pink fire closes in on them.

Actually, this one is probably easy to guess.

The original "Frozen" was announced in 2011 and hit theaters in 2013.
