Cardi B Defends Grammy Win: I Worked Hard for My Motherf***ing Album

While inundated with congratulatory messages for winning her first Grammy Award on Sunday, Cardi B accidentally thanked late legend Tom Petty for a bunch of flowers.

The rapper won for her album "Invasion of Privacy". The last 15 seconds, however, take the Grammy for 'most intimate, ' cutting to never-before-seen footage of Cardi B giving birth to their first and only daughter together, Kulture.

The "Bodak Yellow" hitmaker can be heard letting out a deafening scream as she delivered their first child, before it ends with the rapper standing near to the door of the room with a seemingly concerned look on his face. "Maybe I need to start smoking weed", she said onstage, reports E!News.

But, the debate continues with no signs of ending.

The rapper ended her speech by praising her husband.

She grew tearful as she said: "I want to thank all the artists that took their time and their verses for my album". "I work hard for my mother f-king album".

And if proof were needed of her place in the pop culture pantheon, Cardi B's signature "Okurrrr" call was the centerpiece of Pepsi's latest Super Bowl ad, in which she starred complete with crystal-encrusted manicure.

Iggy Azalea wrote, "Woah Cardi B won!"

Despite the lack of big names in hip-hop performing at the 61st annual Grammy Awards, it didn't stop Cardi B from channeling her own high school performing days on stage for her own show-stopping performance.

The Ric Flair Drip rapper was scheduled to release his album on December 14 but the album was pushed back following his breakup with Cardi B.
