Manikarnika 2nd (Second) Day Box Office Collection: Kangana Movie Gets Impressive Opening

Check out how Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Thackeray performed during the weekend at the box office. Not just that, it started on a good note in the Internation market by collecting 117k dollars on Thursday, 438k dollars on Friday and 516k dollars on Saturday.

Mumbai: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer "Thackeray", a biopic on the late Shiv Sena supremo Balasaheb Thackeray raked in Rs 3 crore on the first day of its release at the box-office.

It also said that the collections were pretty tiresome outside Mumbai circuit with collections getting worse further North.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the box office numbers of Thackeray. However, reports said that the footfalls are increasing as the day 2 collections rose to Rs 18.10 crores. The movie was released in 50 countries worldwide on 3700 screens in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film is expected to cross the Rs 150-crore mark by today. If the jump in collection is any indicator, then Ranaut's movie on the life of Rani Laxmibai could emerge as the next hit after Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike. The film is jointly directed by Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi and Kangana Ranaut, and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain and Nishant Pitti. Directed by Krish and Kangana Ranaut, the biographical period drama features Kangana Ranaut, Atul Kulkarni, Ankita Lokhande, Danny Denzongpa and others in key roles. "It's an honour to be able to pay a tribute to her through our upcoming film Manikarnika".
