Key Things We Learned From The Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer

And yes, anyone who cares about this stuff (dear God, do people care) already could be pretty assured of that outcome given the production schedules for movies like this-but it's still somewhat of a stakes-flattening bummer.

With Endgame picking up a few days after Infinity War's ending as revealed by Tony Stark in his hopeless space drift, it's possible the Avengers reunite, travel back in time, stop Thanos before he gets started, and therefore create a brand-new timeline where Spider-Man never dies.

Synopsis: Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Also, everyone is still hot for Aunt May (Marisa Tomei).

Written by Homecoming alumni Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, Spider-Man: Far From Home swings into theaters July 5. Other details that stuck out include the new all-black stealth suit and a "BFP" suitcase we think belonged to Uncle Ben, who has yet to be seen or referenced in the MCU.

The villains - Elementals Elementals are four extradimensional humanoids who have power over natural forces and ruled the earth before the rise of ancient Atlantis.

Your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is back to save the day from an all-new villain far away from New York City.

Then we have Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury showing up, meeting Spider-Man for the first time. It does not, however, mean that these Elementals are in fact the more familiar classic Spider-Man villains, but it does make me start to speculate in ways I hadn't previously. He could betray Nick Fury and Peter Parker or manipulate them to his own ends. Spider-Man: Homecoming was good, but merely good - which was still a relief after several abysmal movies featuring the wall-crawler. The latest installment in the Spider-Man franchise appears to be a standalone film. Whatever the full story behind Mysterio's heroic turn is, it'll be interesting to see it all play out when Far From Home finally releases.

Holland debuted the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home on his personal Instagram page via Instagram Live. Drawing inspiration from the comics, the suit is a nod to Spider-Man Noir, an alternate version of Spider-Man (remember the character in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse?).
