Adam Gase to become Jets head coach, per report

In fact, he is ecstatic to work with his new head coach.

During his three years with Gase, Manning threw 131 touchdown passes.

Must media types are praising the move.

After being fired by the Miami Dolphins, Adam Gase interviewed for multiple other head coaching jobs.

Predictably, social media has exploded and is going to share of a number of those posts with our readers.

Gase was Denver's quarterbacks coach when Manning signed with the Broncos in 2012. But the team struggled the following year, going 6-10 with quarterback Ryan Tannehill sidelined all season following knee surgery.

"I couldn't be more excited about this, to be honest with you", Darnold told the Daily News' Manish Mehta.

Manning actually called Jets CEO Christopher Johnson to back Gase as well. "That's really the secret to the best players at that position, and I think Sam has some of those qualities".

So what can the Jets expect from Gase? It turns out he'll remain in the division, and face the Dolphins twice every regular season as a rival head coach. The Jets need to add pieces around Darnold, but one of the appealing aspects of the head coaching job is the salary cap space they'll have to address that this offseason ($99.38 million, second-most in the league, via Over The Cap).

The franchise's hope is that the combination of Gase and Darnold will be able to get there someday soon.

"I think he has a great mind for offensive football".
