Future wants people to stop talking about R. Kelly

Steve Greenberg spoke to FOX 5 Atlanta by phone in response to the recent reports of investigations following a controversial mini-series which aired last week on the Lifetime network about the singer-songwriter.

The Ignition singer is accused of holding five women in a "sex cult", as well as having sexual contact with girls as young as 14.

"Mr. Kelly has done nothing". An unconfirmed police dispatch report indicated someone called 911 claiming there was an outstanding warrant. We're told the Chief Investigator has been in contact with the family of Joycelyn Savage, who has not spoken with her family in years. Griggs said Fulton County investigators "haven't confirmed or denied an investigation".

"We're hoping the D.A. from Chicago and the D.A. from Georgia will step up and do their job", said father Timothy Savage.

But an IL prosecutor's plea for potential victims and witnesses to come forward and new protests have sparked hope among some advocates that the R&B star might face criminal charges. Cook County State's Attorney Kim Foxx addressed reporters on Tuesday afternoon after her office had been inundated with calls about the allegations in the documentary, some tied to his Chicago-area home.

On Wednesday, Lady Gaga took to Twitter to announce that she plans to remove her 2013 song with Kelly, "Do What U Want (With My Body)", from iTunes in the wake of the docu-series.

"Please come forward. There is nothing that can be done to investigate these allegations without the cooperation of both victims and witnesses", she said. Both are over the age of 18. "I can't go back, but I can go forward and continue to support women, men and people of all sexual identities, and of all races, who are victims of sexual assault", she added.

Meanwhile, new accusations have surfaced, but this time made against R. Kelly's manager.

TMZ reports that R. Kelly is still getting booked for shows, but only in Germany for the time being.

Savage previously denied allegations that Kelly kept her against her will, despite claims made by her family, who have not seen her in more than two years.

The incident, which allegedly took place in May 2018, was reported by Timothy Savage to Henry County police.
