David Luiz says Cesc Fabregas bid farewell to Chelsea squad

The 31-year-old has since been linked with a January move to French side, Monaco, with reports in the United Kingdom suggesting that a deal could be completed next week.

The midfielder has reportedly played his final game for Chelsea when he took the field for the Blues during their 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup this weekend. Loftus-Cheek then had to be substituted after picking up a knock and Eden Hazard replaced him. Obviously we've had a few injuries haven't we so I've slotted in there in training and I guess when you try and train well you hope the manager can see that. "Top guy on the pitch, off the pitch, a great friend of mine". We are all pleased with his performance but we were even when he didn't score in previous games so hopefully it will be good for his morale that he scored, and hopefully he will be more free in his mind.

"It is sad. It's really sad for us". And, with Mario Mandzukic not getting any younger, Juve are eyeing a move for the supremely talented Hudson-Odoi, who can play anywhere across the frontline.

"Sad for everybody when you lose this kind of player, this kind of person, but I think everybody has to stand up and clap the hands for him because he deserves it".

There are strong reports claiming that Fabregas will join Thierry Henry's AS Monaco in the coming days.

Fabregas' exit would not come as much of a surprise, given his lack of playing time under Maurizio Sarri so far this season.

"It's always hard to lose players, especially like him, because he's a world-class player. But it's not just about myself, it's about the team - we all did well so it's congratulations to the team for the victory".

Hudson-Odoi's current deal expires in the summer of 2020 and the teenager has risen through the club's youth ranks having spent his entire career to date at Chelsea.

"Now, football you need a minimum 20 players to play, and to move, to rotate".
