Video of Border Patrol agent's gender-reveal explosion that sparked wildfire released

The party took place previous year on April 23 and was meant to reveal the gender of the host couple's soon-to-arrive baby, but the explosive reveal instead set fire to the surrounding area, causing a 47,000-acre wildfire and damages worth millions of dollars.

Boy or girl? Either way, an Arizona couple sure wasn't expecting a fire.

It then explodes emitting a blue gaseous plume - lighting the grass on fire.

At the end of the video, a man can be heard yelling twice for people to, "Start packing up".

"Dickey started the fire by shooting a rifle at a target".

The incident occurred in April 2017. The Associated Press received the video from the Forest Service on Tuesday. "Dickey immediately reported the fire to law enforcement, co-operated, and admitted that he started the fire".

"It was a complete accident", Mr Dickey told the Daily Star.

One of the commenters where the video is posted on YouTube, wrote, "I feel bad for the poor baby boy who's inheriting those genes".

The resulting inferno burned through 47,000 acres and caused $8Million in Damages.

It burned for almost a week, Tucson.com reported. Fire officials said gusty winds and the broken topography helped push the growth of the southern Arizona fire.

It created an estimated $8 million worth of damage, but at least Dickey found out he'd be a father to a boy, right?

He pleaded guilty in September to a misdemeanor charge of causing a fire without a permit and agreed to pay a $220,000 fine, according to the Arizona Daily Star.

Dickey's sentence also included five years of probation.
