Taoiseach laments Britain's exit from European Union as leaders accept withdrawal deal

While Trump did not elaborate on what his US-UK trade comments following the Brexit deal, there are some limits to how and when a bilateral deal with the two nations can be shaped.

European leaders have finally approved a deal on the UK's departure from the EU during an emergency summit in Brussels.

Conservative MP Mark Francois told May her deal was "as dead as a Dodo".

"This is the deal that is on the table, this is the best possible deal, it's the only possible deal". She plans to address lawmakers in the House of Commons later in the day.

Spain will revive its bid for shared sovereignty over Gibraltar once Britain has left the European Union, the country's prime minister said on Sunday, adding Madrid had the support of the bloc to resolve the 300-year-old dispute.

However, May faces a hard task getting parliamentary approval for the deal.

Lawmakers will have the luxury of perusing more numbers like these before they finally cast the deciding vote in Parliament.

But it's now the job of all of us in Cabinet to make the case to our colleagues, make the case to the country.

"It has been especially clear to me when I have visited communities along the border in Northern Ireland and seen first-hand how important it is that the unique circumstances local employers face are recognised in any agreement".

It said the hit would be less if Britain remained in a customs union with the EU - a backstop option in London's deal with Brussels - which would leave the economy 2.8pc smaller by 2030 than if it stayed fully in the bloc.

"Some say that this deal is the worst of all worlds. This is the deal".

Judges of the General Court of the European Union in Luxembourg decided that the "Shindler" case was "inadmissible, because there are no expatriates who are personally affected [by the negotiations for the UK's withdrawal from the EU] for now", said Mr Fouchet.

LONDON: British Prime Minister Theresa May faced parliamentary fury on Monday as she set off on the tricky task of convincing mutinous lawmakers to back her divorce deal with the EU.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said the party would oppose May's deal in parliament.

She said: "It will be one of the most significant votes that Parliament has held for many years".

"There is a choice which MPs will have to make".

For those in favour of a definitive Brexit, the deal fails to deliver on a clean break with the European project. Or this House can choose to reject this deal and go back to square one.

"On it will depend whether we move forward together into a brighter future or open the door to yet more division and uncertainty".

Former foreign secretary Boris Johnson branded the Prime Minister's deal a "disaster" and a "humiliation" for the UK.

"Nobody really even knows what it means, it's just a threat that's being used by the extreme Brexiteers, and unfortunately some others, to say you've got to accept a really bad deal, and we don't have to", she said.

"We are a satellite state - a memento mori fixed on the walls of Brussels as a ghastly gaping warning to all who try to escape".

However, it said this would rise to 3.5%-8.7% if there was a no deal Brexit.
