'Orange is the New Black' Ending With Season 7

"Season 7 you will not be disappointed, it is a season you will not forget, and we are going to give you everything and more that you could have ever wanted".

Netflix is saying goodbye to Orange Is the New Black.

It was the first show to be nominated for Emmys in both the drama and comedy categories, Uzo Aduba winning outstanding supporting actress in a drama series for portraying Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren.

In an emotional video posted on Twitter, "Orange Is the New Black" stars Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon and Uzo Aduba, along with other cast members, reminisced about their seven-season run on the groundbreaking series. "We're at the end of the road", Danielle Brooks tweeted.

The seventh and final season arrives in 2019, either in June or July and with 13 episodes, if it holds pattern with the previous six.

"Orange Is the New Black" ended on a bit of a cliffhanger at the end of its sixth season, with Piper released from Litchfield Penitentiary, after she and Alex had a prison wedding.

After seven seasons, it's time to be released from prison.

Orange is the New Black premiered in 2013, with new seasons airing on a yearly basis.

It's true, the show will conclude after the seventh season. "I will miss all the badass ladies of Litchfield and the incredible crew we've worked with", Kohan said in a statement of the end of the series. The series was created by Kohan and based on the book of the same name by Piper Kerman. It's also been the victor of countless awards, as well as multiple Emmy nominations.
