Did Anyone Win Tonight’s Mega Millions for October 12, 2018?

Did Anyone Win Tonight’s Mega Millions for October 12, 2018?

Mega Millions announced Friday night that the winning numbers are 4, 24, 46, 61, 70 and the Mega Ball 7.

In 2012, three winning tickets were sold, so the jackpot was split three ways in Kansas, Illinois, and Maryland. The jackpot climbed $78 million after no one matched all six numbers Tuesday night.

For example, matching five white balls without the Mega Ball pays $1 million.

Typically once it's known whether or not someone won, MegaMillions updates its website to either restart the jackpot at $40 million or to increase the estimated jackpot for the next drawing on Tuesday if no one won.

This Mega Millions drawing will also be the fourth largest in all lottery history.

In order to win the jackpot, you'll need to match all five white balls and the yellow Mega ball.

The jackpot has been growing since it was last won on July 24. Most winners opt for cash, which for Friday night's drawing would be an estimated $309 million. With the big jackpot in March 2018 that was about $521 million (and we've now surpassed that amount, ) we actually didn't find out if anyone won until the next morning. The most recent Mega Ball was 18 on Tuesday night.

Mega Millions is heading into "mega" territory.

Jackpot winners have a choice to make: cash or annuity.

Mega Millions is available in 44 states, plus the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The $314 million ranks as the 24th-highest in the game's history and the 41st-highest combined jackpot ever i the U.S.

The winning ticket for the historic $1.58 billion Powerball jackpot in January 2016 was drawn in Florida.
