Israeli soldiers patrol near the scene where, according to Israeli media, a Palestinian shot and wounded three Israelis, at an industrial park adjacent to a Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank October 7, 2018.

Conricus identified the gunman as a 23-year-old Palestinian from a West Bank village and said he was still at large. Since then, four of the hundreds of attacks of cold steel and firearms, explosive devices, and collisions of cars in Israel and the West Bank of the Jordan river was killed more than 50 Israelis and a few foreigners.

"Later we found another injured woman hiding under a table with gunshot wounds in her upper body", said paramedic Tomer Fine, who was the first responder at the site. "Security forces are in pursuit of the despicable murderer, and I am sure that they will catch him and bring him to justice".

A second woman, aged 54, was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds to her upper body, MDA said. Thousands of Israelis and Palestinians now work there.

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad militant group issued a similar statement.

PMW pointed out that Barkan Industrial Zone is "a place known as an example of coexistence where Palestinians and Israelis work together".

The gun has become a weapon of choice for Palestinians who carry out shooting attacks against Israelis. Israeli military say that they burned 8 thousand acres of "Israeli land", killing 100 animals.

The incident came amid tensions in the Gaza Strip, where Palestinians have been staging daily rallies against the blockade imposed by Israel since 2007, and Israeli forces killed at least 190 people since the protest started on March 30.
