UFC 229 Embedded Episode 3

According to former titleholder Pettis (21-7 MMA, 8-6 UFC), who meets Tony Ferguson (23-3 MMA, 13-1 UFC) in the co-main event, Nurmagomedov is the best fighter in the division.

Former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor will return to the octagon for the first time in almost two years at UFC 229 this Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Nurmagomedov was given a hostile reception by the mainly pro-McGregor crowd at Wednesday's open workout. But it's his his young son who stole the spotlight, wandering around adorably on the stage and convincing everyone watching that he already has his dad's signature style.

You could argue that this entry and the next should be tied at number one, and that's because there really isn't all that much in it. Nurmagomedov has been associated with McGregor in one way or another for a good few years, and he'll love nothing more than to make him pay for everything that he's said and done.

Taking on the powerful champion from Dagestan in his comeback fight represents a colossal gamble by McGregor.

It might have been wise for McGregor to apply earmuffs to his child for the next part of his speech. I am going to finish this guy and stop this guy and this is my plan.

McGregor, accompanied by about 10 others, "threw a hand truck at a bus, causing an injury to an individual on the bus", Sophia Mason, a spokeswoman for the New York Police Department, said.

The police had earlier said that McGregor was a "person of interest" in the matter and that they wanted to question him. Then there's the fact that McGregor is one of the most important fighters of all-time; the combined star power of himself and Ronda Rousey got the Ultimate Fighting Championship sold for billions, but most importantly, he was the first fighter to extract every ounce of leverage he had over the promotion.

So as for those two true outcomes, it looks like either McGregor knocks out Nurmagomedov in short order, or the Russian gets the fight to the ground and dominates for as long as he wants to. I'm starving for this man's head.

Are you going to the fight on Saturday? "I'm only a couple of minutes late".

"No, not yet. I need to talk to the big boss, Dana White, to make it happen".

"That's a sign, he doesn't want to be around me, he doesn't want to be around these people (the crowd)". For me, it's personal. "I don't give a s*** right now".

Although Nurmagomedov enters the event as champion, McGregor had the belt prior to him and never was dethroned inside the octagon.

"He has to kill me to stop me", said the Russian. At the time of his big win, McGregor became the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles in two different weight classes simultaneously; he was also the featherweight champion at the time.

That's the lowest you can go? "Never, ever, ever, over".

After falling just short in his latest conquest to defy the odds, a boxing match against undefeated legend of the squared circle Floyd Mayweather, fans and analysts alike now eagerly await to see what "Mystic Mac" has in store for us this time around at UFC 229.
