Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks Silence On Rape Accusations

Kathryn Mayorga, 34, of Las Vegas, accused Ronaldo, in a 32-page complaint filed last month with a district court in Nevada, of raping her on June 13, 2009.

Ronaldo was serving a one-match suspension after being sent off in Juve's match with Valencia a fortnight ago and watched on from the stands at the Juventus Stadium alongside girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and seven-year-old son Cristiano Jr. Her attorneys now want to declare the non-disclosure agreement void.

Now Mayorga's lawyers have called a media conference for Wednesday evening during which they intend to make public more claims against the star.

Drohobyczer said Mayorga, now 34, became anxious her name would become public after a 2017 media report apparently referred to the June 2009 incident at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Ronaldo strenuously denies the claims made in German magazine Der Spiegel labelling the allegations as "fake news".

Ronaldo has now released a statement on the matter, after his legal team, per the BBC, said that they would sue Der Spiegel for "illegal" reporting.

It said the assault had left her with "severe emotional and bodily injuries" and "major depression".

Court papers claimed he attacked her even though she was screaming 'No, no, no!'

She then stated that Ronaldo asked her to perform a sex act but when she refused his request he pulled her into a bedroom, threw her on the bed, and raped her while she screamed for him to stop.

They declined to say whether the athlete was the subject of an investigation. Yeah but it's part of the job. "I'm happy man and all good".

It was nearly as if Real president Florentino Perez had been anticipating such a reaction from the Bernabeu as he tried to assure supporters that Ronaldo would one day return to Los Blancos.

"She's not going to be interviewed", the attorney said.

It said she accepted an invitation to join Ronaldo and others in his penthouse suite to "enjoy the view of the Las Vegas strip". The lawsuit said Mayorga also went to a hospital, where a sexual assault medical examination was conducted.

Knowing she was a "vulnerable person", his team reinforced the threat of public humiliation if she or anyone else publicly disclosed her allegations or cooperated with law enforcement, her complaint says.

The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages of at least $200,000.
