Rodgers carted to locker room vs. Bears after knee injury

"Aaron Rodgers was remarkable", McCarthy said.

"I felt like I left a lot of throws out there", Trubisky said.

Against the archrival Bears. The Packers meet the Bears again later in the year, and next week take on the Minnesota Vikings.

After allowing 10 points and 146 total yards on the Bears' first two possessions, the Packers' defense didn't relinquish a first down on five of its next six series to keep Green Bay within striking distance going into the fourth quarter. The Lambeau Field crowd let out a huge roar as he walked out on the field.

For Rodgers, this was special. Mack's impact on the game wasn't close to what it was in the first half.

Akiem Hicks appeared to be taking on the Packers all by himself early, as Packers guard Justin McCray was helpless in his efforts to stop him while the Packers were using any help they might have otherwise given McCray to try and stop the newest member of that Bears defense, Khalil Mack.

The Packers' offense, behind two-time MVP QB Aaron Rodgers was held to minus-3 passing yards in the first quarter.

While Packers fans feared the worst, Rodgers surprised nearly everyone by coming out on the sideline for the second half. "This is one of the toughest environments to play in". The Packers' comeback from 17 points down at halftime ruined Matt Nagy's debut as an National Football League head coach. Aaron Rodgers still may miss games as a result of his leg injury, but did this on pure adrenaline and guts.

Mack almost stole the show.

The Green Bay Packers were losing at home 20-0 to the team they've long tormented, the Chicago Bears, and hope was faint at best.

"I prepared all offseason for the first game of the season and I wanted to. make an impact", Mack said. The ovation from the crowd lifts you up, gives the energy, the momentum of the game, and you feel the tide turning. That's the only thing on my mind.

Mack followed by intercepting a pass that Kizer dumped over the middle while trying to avoid a sack by Roy Robertson-Harris. The lineman landed on Rodgers.

"We just have to go back and watch the tape now to see how we get a quicker start". The Packers listed him as questionable at halftime, but minutes later he was back on the field throwing warmup tosses.

According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, it was the same knee Rodgers suffered a torn ACL with in high school at Pleasant Valley.

McCarthy said he was prepared to go with Kizer to start the second half until getting the word from the team doctor in the tunnel.

His right arm was just fine.

"(I was thinking) something special", he said. They took that opportunity to take a shot at the end zone. On the following drive, he picked the backup signal-caller off and ran it back 27 yards for a touchdown to put the Bears up 17-0.

It turned out to be the only offensive touchdown the Bears would score all night. They thought they would still be Mack's teammates this season, but he was traded to the Bears on September 1 and there he was on national TV blasting through everybody the Packers put in front of him in an incredible first-half display of personal defensive destruction.

There were no apparent signs of protest during the national anthem, when Bears players and coaches locked arms on the sideline.

The Bears are set to face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2 at Soldier Field.
