Celebrity Big Brother: actor leaves house after claiming punch by Ryan Thomas

United Kingdom media regulator Ofcom received 11,215 complaints after Thursday night's episode, with Thomas receiving a formal warning from the show.

They said: "Roxanne has made a decision to leave the Big Brother House. The remaining housemates have been informed".

Former Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett has left the Celebrity Big Brother house, broadcaster Channel 5 has said.

A spokeswoman for Pallett told the Press Association: "Roxanne made a decision to leave the CBB house late last night after deliberating for two days with some sensitive issues she felt strongly about. And we weren't play-fighting, there was no banter; it wasn't a joke".

"She has now been reunited with her fiance and family and thanks everyone for their support during her time in the show".

He was reminded of the show's rules and given a formal warning.

He said: "I want you to know from the bottom of my heart I was showing my affection".

Charley Webb, who plays Debbie Dingle in the ITV soap told her 434,000 Twitter followers: "It's worrying that someone is allowed to say that about someone and they're taking it seriously".

"Maybe it came across the wrong way".

She said: "I think if there would have been violence in here, they would have come in, the person would have been removed immediately".

An emotional Roxanne replied: "I'm not questioning your integrity".

Ryan was keen to make amends with Roxanne however, and he tearfully apologised and said: "I am not the person you felt was treating you that way".

Looking emotional, the star said: "I'm just a little bit in shock".

"Sad to say, from what I've heard, I had a very similar experience with this lady a year ago", Connor tweeted.

As for the other celebrities, Ryan Thomas is said to be getting £500,000 for his appearance while Jermaine Pennant is reportedly getting £200,000, together with Sally Morgan and Kirstie Alley.

The next episode of Celebrity Big Brother will air on Virgin Media Two / Channel at 10pm on Saturday 1 September.
