In 12 hours Crystal Palace boss Hodgson confident Zaha wants stay

Zaha wants to remain in London and sees Chelsea as the flawless club to continue his resurgence.

Tottenham have pulled out of the race for Wilfried Zaha after Crystal Palace demanded £75million for the winger.

The 25-year-old Ivory Coast global bagged nine goals and three assists last term, despite missing five weeks of the season injured.

And it now appears that this is what one Crystal Palace player seems eager to do, with a move that will better his position in London.

He is reportedly open to a fresh challenge and has told pals he has an offer to leave the club.

Whether Chelsea move nearer to their valuation will depend on the future of Willian, who came close to joining Barcelona this summer and has also been linked with a move to Manchester United.

Palace manager Roy Hodgson expects Zaha to stay on this season.

Unsurprisingly, there hasn't been a dearth of interest in the former Manchester United star over the last few transfer windows, with Chelsea and Tottenham among the clubs trying to snap him up.

The Eagles are under little pressure to sell after tying Zaha to a long-term deal in 2017 worth £100,000 per week, but the Ivory Coast global made his intentions clear by rejecting improved terms earlier this summer.

Should Chelsea land the Ivorian's signature, he would become their third signing of the window after Jorginho and Rob Green joined the club.

Zaha is interested in leaving Palace he had even submitted a transfer request but does not want to leave London, with Chelsea being his most preferred destination.
