Galaxy S10 might feature the best smartphone camera till now

Samsung on Wednesday sent invitations to the media for its next Unpacked event, which is scheduled to take place on August 9th in New York City.

The unpacking event for the next flagship smartphone will take place at 11 a.m. local time on August 9, or midnight on August 10 in Korea, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

According to Forbes's Ewan Spence, the earlier announcement date this year for Galaxy Note 9 allows Samsung to also start selling the device within August. Other than that, it doesn't look as though the whole device is going to benefit from wholesale changes, with most analysts and industry insiders expecting Note 9 to be extremely close in physical and functional design to last year's Note 8 hardware.

Samsung didn't give away much, but if the date is any indication - plus all the obvious stuff surrounding it - we're about to be treated to the Galaxy Note 9 (or Note9?).

The smartphone is expected to come with a 6.3-inches QHD+ resolution display, Samsung Exynos 9810 or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, 6 GB/8 GB RAM and up to 256/512 GB of storage.

Samsung has also posted a teaser on its mobile Twitter feed, which reveals more of the S Pen.

If you are a fan of the Galaxy Note series, then you are probably waiting for the next iteration.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 9 is the company's next chance to dunk on Apple.

It is also said to sport a dual-camera on the rear and iris scanning for security.

Interestingly, the Galaxy Tab S4 tablet was spotted on Geekbench with interesting specifications. This would result in even better lowlight camera performance, but it's possible that the new tech will debut on next year's Galaxy S10 rather than the upcoming Galaxy Note 9. The wait be over with the Note 9 as rumors claim we could see either a 3850mAh or 4000mAh option. For now, let the speculation begin for Samsung's next big thing.

The huge venue is in keeping with Samsung's big budget launches as it attempts to recover from the disastrous Note 7, which had to be recalled after dozens spontaneously caught fire because of defective batteries.
