The Incredibles 2 has absolutely destroyed a huge box office record

"Incredibles 2" is also the second biggest ever June debut, behind only "Jurassic World".

Jackie Aker, director of media relations for the Epilepsy Foundation, says her organization had never before called for a movie to issue a photosensitivity warning, but earlier this year asked Apple to change a promotional spot for the new iPad that had flashing lights that would be unsafe for certain viewers.

As The Hollywood Reporter points out, "Incredibles 2" is not only the biggest-ever debut for an animated film (dethroning previous champ "Finding Dory", which enjoyed a $135M opening weekend), Pixar's latest is also the biggest debut in movie history for movie not rated PG-13.

"Incredibles 2" flexed its muscles at the box office this weekend. On Friday alone, it earned $70 million.

The film made a stunning $180 million over the weekend in U.S., which is the biggest ever opening for animated movie by some distance. The movie follows the Parr family as they attempt to juggle a normal life with superhero responsibilities.

Internationally, the film took in an estimates $51.5 million, bringing its worldwide total as of now to $231.5 million at the worldwide box office. Sandra Bullock stars as Danny Ocean's sister Debbie, who recruits a group of women, including Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Rihanna, Awkwafina, Sarah Paulson, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway, to steal millions of dollars worth of jewels from the Met gala. The film stars Ed Helms, Jake Johnson, Hannibal Buress, Jon Hamm, and Jeremy Renner as a group of adult friends who are locked in a years long cross-country game of tag. The Warner Bros. pic is sitting at a 57% Rotten Tomatoes rating with a B+ CinemaScore. It has earned 79.17 million dollars in North American theatres through Sunday.
