It's (Almost) Confirmed: Netflix is headed to the Nintendo Switch

When booting into the game on Switch with a PS4 account, you'll receive the error message, "This Fortnite account is associated with a platform which does not allow it to operate on Switch".

The premise of the game is nearly identical to that of Player Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG), another online game that has seen huge popularity on PC and Xbox One. That's right, as revealed during the E3 2018 Nintendo Direct, you'll be able to floss, dab, and whatever else you want to do on your Nintendo Switch console starting from today, June 12. If you are a new player looking to get into Fortnite who intends on using the crossplay options make sure you link your account to anything but your PlayStation.

The popular online game was downloaded by 150 million people internationally this year, the Washington Post reported. There was no mention of Fortnite's Save the World PvE mode, so I'm assuming only the battle royale mode will be made available on Switch.

Interestingly, there was also no mention of cross-platform play between the Nintendo Switch and any of the other platforms it is available on.


It isn't especially hard to make a new Epic account, but Fortnite employs a battle pass program that players buy into to receive challenges and rewards.

In other news, Epic has confirmed that Fortnite on Switch supports cross-play with the Xbox One, PC, and mobile editions-but not PlayStation 4.

Despite being free, there are 100 tiers of weapons, outfits and gear that can be purchased using the in-game currency called V-Bucks.
