It looks like the Pixel 3 XL will have the notched display, which was speculated considering Android P has support for the same.

For one, the Google Pixel 3 XL images shared by XDA Developers reveal an edge-to-edge display with notch or cut out on top.

According to the report by XDA Developers, the Google Pixel 3 XL won't be coming with a 3.5 mm audio jack while there will be a bottom mounted speaker grill at the front. Additionally, you can see the power button and volume rocker that are in an nearly identical position as last year's and confirmation that Google will; unsurprisingly not be bringing back the headphone jack. That probably means we'll be getting some kind of face unlock feature in the Pixel 3 XL.

Google Pixel 3 will reportedly sport a design similar to that of its predecessor Pixel 2. The prototype has a very large display notch housing an earpiece and two front-facing cameras.

While this isn't the juiciest of leaks, tipster Ice Universe is claiming seperately that LG Display will be supplying OLED panels with notches to Google. It's just that this time around, the Google Pixel 3 will be manufactured by Foxconn.

What we're not seeing on the back, however, is glass - which, from current standards, is required for wireless charging.

First and foremost, the expected launch date of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL is October 4. Now that Apple has the Qi standard inside its iPhone 8s and X, Google might feel the need to push Android to support the standard more meaningfully. It's unlikely the notch and front chin will disappear this year but wireless charging could still be possible. It's the larger of the two devices, and it's pretty similar to what we saw past year. Even among Android vendors, Google is nowhere near the top-selling phone brand despite the fact that its Pixel branded smartphones offer huge advantages over the competition. What can be seen as a difference from the predecessor is that with the upcoming Pixel devices, Google is going to introduce a glass back to its smartphones.
